About Us

   Hello, on this page I thought I would tell you a little about us. We have a small horse farm at Pomona, Mo.  Located in southern Missouri,[ about 89 miles southeast of Springfield, Missouri on 63 highway ] and have been raising horses for many years. We started out with Quarter Horses. We trail rode a lot and we did a lot of barrel racing at the shows. Then one day Dean bought a Fox Trotter. After riding a Fox Trotter he was sold on them. He trained his Fox Trotter,  Danny Joe's Beauty, who is a granddaughter  of Danny Joe W,  to do everything a Quarter Horse could do. What he ask of her she actually could do just as good as the Quarter Horses. It took a lot of years, and hard work but we gradually build our herd up to what it is today.
          Our land joins with the National Forest so we have plenty of places to ride our horses. We ride our horse on trails through the woods, up and down the hills, through the creeks, and we have rode them everywhere you could think of to ride a horse. We not only have trail riding horses, we have horses that are a good prospect for showing also . I have included a few pictures here, there will be more added as I update. I have these pictures into thumbnails so you can click on the one you would like to see in a larger size.

This is a picture of the first horse I ever owned, I bought her at a sale barn in Macon, Mo. She came off of a truck load of horses from Wyoming. She was just a baby colt at that time. She was my babysitter as I grew up, then went on to baby sit a lot of other kids. She lived to be 30 plus years, and learned a lot of kids, 
and grownups how to ride.
